Sometimes the plan needs to leave the app: a printed copy in the top of a pack, a PDF for a parent who wants the details, a snapshot of the trip for the archive. The PDF export turns the whole hike into one clean, branded document.
Exporting
From the hike, choose Export PDF and tick the sections you want:
- Overview — cover page with the hike's stats and the full member list
- Map — a topographic map with every route drawn in its colour, camps, food drops, water/reception points, a scale bar and the elevation profile
- Itinerary — the day-by-day plan with times, assignees and linked costs
- Expenses — the ledger plus the suggested settle-up
- Food — meal plans, and Food drops with their contents
- Emergency — contacts, PLBs and member emergency notes
- Gear — the list with everyone's packing status
Generation takes a few seconds — the map is stitched from real topo tiles. On the Android app the finished PDF opens straight into the share sheet, so you can save it, print it or send it to the group chat in one tap.
Who Can Export
PDF export is available to the hike owner on a Pro account. During the beta, every account is Pro — export away.
Tip: The Emergency section makes the PDF a solid leave-behind for someone at home — though the safety brief email is the purpose-built way to hand over trip details, complete with attached route files.
